topic Patch Surfaces, I can still see the previous surface in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

Hello

I have been having this problem for a while, when I use the patch tool, it does not undo the outline of the previous surface, it leaves it visible in the created solid.

I wanted to see if someone could help me with this?

And if this causes problems in the piece when it becomes solid or it doesn't matter

In the image I have a piece which I cut with extrude and then use patch tool to cover those perforations.

(I can not return the steps and I can not remove the cut extrude)

The surface boundary/split will remain after patching/stitching.

Here are two options to try...

1) In the patch/surface environment use the merge tool. This has the distinct possibility of leaving weirdness if the patches don't match the base surface! If your base surface has dual curvature, this will likely be so-so at best, horrible at worst. Note: This only works if you have history turned off.

2) In the modeling/solids environment select the split surfaces (the ones you want to be removed) and just delete them. In theory, if the part is solid, the base surface will be restored. This works well when there is compound curvature. You may need to do them individually if the surface is quite complex. Note: Works in either history mode.

Thanks !

I use the merge tool and it work, there was a problem with the fit of the surface but it works fine.
