Hi, I am having trouble finding out how I can see the other component better when I work on one component. I want to make a sketch that needs references to another component but its kind of hard not seeing them 😛

Thank you, this helps allot, now I can see the other component. One more question, all the components that I have visible (in this case two) are now a bit hard to see, like very transparent, not yellow and easy to see as in my first print screen, do you know how I can get the active component either gray or orange again?

Have you got a transparent material added to them or have you modified their opacity? If you have a material added try pressing Shift+N to enable colour cycling, personally find materials distracting while designing. If you've modified the opacity you'll need to find where you modified it by right clicking the components and bodies and setting them to 100% from the opacity menu option.

If it's neither of these I'm not sure what's going on, is it the same in all designs?

Here's another method to see if your components might epithet have an appearance material or opacity settings that devote from the default.

If you turn on component color cycling every component should be changing to a solid color.

Thanks for trying to help me 🙂

The problem is only in this project.

I have not add any transparent materials or materials at all.

I have not on purpose done anything with opacity, but of course as a newbie in this program it might have happen by accident and then I dont know how to fix it.

When I put on the component color cycling nothing happen to the colors except from in the menu where you can see what color they should have. After that I right clicked one body and choose opacity of something right below 100 (100 did nothing) then it came more stronger - BUT when I am changing active component then this body still shows in strong color and new active dont (and it should change, right?).

With active component visibility unchecked you should not get any changes to any of the components transparency when you activate a component.

What you're seeing is odd, try setting the opacity to 100% at all levels in the browser, the main top component with the project name all the way down to the bodies in the components. I guess also try saving the design, closing Fusion and restarting to see if that resets anything.

Mark

Aside form the visibility problems this design contains a number of mistakes. Not only is the origin not in a sensible location but the design brings up 19 warnings when I run a "Modify -> Compute all".

I've not yet been able to determine how the "transparency problem" happens but I'll get there.

Yes, you are absolutely right, there are many mistakes. I am new to Fusion, so I kind of learn by my way, this was first time using components. I am not always sure how to fix the warnings when they come but I learn something new all the time, but this was one of the bigger one, so I kind of did not want to start over, I am 3D printing it at the end. Thank you so much for trying to help me with the transparency problem! Thank you everyone!

It isn't the use of components.

You used imported meshes, which I believe you converted, but because they were pretty broken meshes with open areas they did not convert into solid body,. but into surfaces.

Then you created sketches referencing faces on that broken geometry and even projected geometry form those meshes into your sketches to use as a reference. It is this case I would only use meshes as a visual reference and not convert them.

You did in fact probably by accident set several opacities. So starting from the top of the hierarchy I would select all component groups and components and solid bodies in those to 100% opacity and in that order.

Component Group,

Component

Body

Then you'll see things turning opaque again.
