Poor Quality PDF Output

Hi There,

I've created a design in Fusion 360 and wish to output a 2D drawing of the design as a PDF. Whenever I do so, the output quality is incredibly poor, with pixelated and non-smooth shading. Is there some way to get Fusion 360 to output a high quality PDF? I intend to print a PCB from the PDF and so require a high quality output.

Hi Benedict,

Would you be able to share/send me (christopher.miller@autodesk.com) this drawing? In the data panel click the version number for the drawing > Open details on the web, then use the Export option in the upper right and select Fusion 360 Archive.

We do not have a separate setting for PDF output quality. We did some work on PDF output for some text display issues which may improve overall output quality, but in this case the issue may be the initial generation of the shading in the drawing, not the output.

@cmiller66 Did this ever get resolved?

Having a similar issue here, where I output a PDF file and the shading is heavily pixelated, and the shading extends past the edges of the actual part.

I use the print command and select the Microsoft print to pdf driver. The lines are crisp and thin and you can see details better. Fusions Export to pdf sucks.

Just gave it a shot and I still see loss of resolution and detail compared to Exporting PDF with lineweights unticked. Shame there isn't a solution yet after 3 years...

Hi All, just an update from the Fusion side.
