Hello everyone. I am new to the community as well as new to Fusion. First things first, I love working with it and really appreciate the startup licence. Thanks for that!

I want to project a sketch on to a surface but end up with an unclosed loop. I found this topic here which relates to the same issue, however, changing the projection type to "along vector" is not helping me.

Eventually I want to extrude the logo using methods mentioned in this topic.

Here is the public link to my file. I never worked with CAD software before so it might be a bit unorganised - sorry for that.

Thanks for your help!

What sketch do you want to project on which surface ?

Thanks for your reply and thanks for that link.

I obviously forgot to include a screenshot in my post too. Here you can see the logo I imported through a .svg file and the clamp/cylinder in the back which is the surface to be projected on.

That means sketch 18 is projected on body 2:1 resulting in sketch 19.

So here you go: https://imgur.com/a/D5Hep3a

I noticed that my imported logo apparently doesn´t result in a closed loop either. I assumed so because the inside gets highlighter as a patch, the outline however consist of several individual lines.

I somehow need to fix this first I reckon.

So where in the attached form can ewe find that imported .svg ?

There is no sketch 18.

In general is is not uncommon for imported .svg and dxf files to have problems such as line ends not coinciding. That will always result in profiles not being closed. IF the Logo iOS simple enough my recommendation would be to re-trace it with the sketch tools in Fusion 360.

Sketch 18 and 19 are sketches of the component "body2:1". Since the problem only appears with the imported logo, that issue is probably related to a faulty trace inside of adobe illustrator. I am going to investigate.

Thanks for your help!
