help about twisting loft handles

Hello guys i'm trying to obtain this twisted shape (check the pink image) on this file(first image)and I figured one way i could do it would be by rotating the rail handles in the loft as you can see by the third image, however I have 4 rails and only 2 handles on the same side this keeps me from having a full twist. can someone help me? either with a new way to get thissame shape or with solving this loft thing. thanks in advance

The white dots in the Loft preview are "point mapping" points. If multiple sections in your lofts have different number of points, you sometimes will need to adjust this mapping manually. Those points are draggable. You can drag them one at a time, or if you double click on one, you can drag the points for the whole loop together. See the screencast below.

But, you may want to take a closer look at your sketches - there may be too many fit points, if you are using spline curves, or there may be a mis-match of the number of points in each section, which may drive the automatic point mapping to give undesirable results. If you share your model here, lots of people will want to take a look at it.

Hi jeff thanks for taking the time to ask you've already taught me something! so you me my sections should have a similar number of points? however the shape on the bottom is a made of splines but the one on top is a normal cylinder. i'll attach the file however it's a big mess I would love if someone could help!

So how would you want to handle this ?

there are 77 unnamed sketches in your design. there're any number of Form environments in the design, some with and without content. You;ve got a number of red icons indicating failed operations.

Could you delete all the stuff that is superfluous to help us concentrate on the important bits ?

Do you have an image of the end result so we can see what you actually want to create ?

Thanks for your answer! So I wanted the final look to be like the one in pink basically just that twisted portion in the end the rest is pretty good as is. I could try to clean it up but i'm afraid it would be worst than using it like this. what would your aproach be if starting from 0 and wanting to creat that shape

hmm ok i understand so do you think maybe i can model only the bottom part that way and keep the rest of my design it would be a bit troublesome to have to model the threaded part again. and another thing my bottle is supposed to have that strange flower shape in the bottom should I start the tspline with that profile? i'm not really used to using that workflow

Right. If you never try, you never will be. A lo of the mechanical heads on this forum are very uncomfortable with T-Splines, bit they (T-Splines) can solve a city of problems a lot faster than working with traditional CAD modeling.

They both have their place and it would be unwise to dismiss either.

hahha off course you are right ! that's why I asked what your aproach would be, willing to learn haha. just tried to loft that profile in the t-spline workspace but couldn't could you please give some pointers

Hi so I've been working with tsplines however I come to a problem when trying to extrude the base profile some of the faces overlap as you can see in the pictures i've attached the file if you could be so kind as to check it out! it would help me greatly

I would not use a sketch for modeling this. IfI would use a sketch I would most likely sketch it using simple splines which are mathematically closer to T-Splines. IN this case I just used plain T-Spline modeling and Fuiosn 360 has got all the tools to easily model this one:
