topic Shape from Cross-Section ? in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

I followed this:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/screencast/Main/Details/5b73d04c-eead-49ea-9dc8-333927287f6c.html

tutorial to create a bear claw.

in the next step, I want a bear claw shaped cutout in the claw.

For this, I need to create an outline of the bear claw and was wondering if there's any other way then to trace the claw.

Is it possible to create a shape out of the cross-section of an object?

I need a shape like the one shown in the picture.

You can create a sketch projection from a body. That'll project the outline of that body into that sketch.
