Grouping and un-grouping features makes the timeline to re-order. Bug or feature

Here is the weird thing I am running into.

I have the box you can see in the picture below and as you can see in the browser tree things are organized in components and sub-components.

Additionally there are some groups in the timeline that can be collapsed but when this is done the order in the timeline shifts. Here is an example to illustrate.

Image 1: there is the creation of a component by the name of "door step" as a sub-component of "front" (as the popup shows)

Image 2: there is a group by the name "outer walls" AFTER the "door step" component in the timeline.

Image 3 now shows what happens after opening this group (clicking on the '+' sign, not deleting the group).

It makes the opened group shift to directly before the component in the timeline.

Is this an unknown/ known bug or am I doing something wrong here?

Any insight as to where this comes from or how to avoid this is highly appreciated.

Thanks for posting. I am not sure on the exact expected behavior here, but would assume that grouped features should not be re-ordered. Have you noticed any problems with re-computes in this file?

I'd like to have a look at this on my end - would you mind sharing an earlier version or this file with me? If I can recreate the groups you've shown it may be easier to understand exactly what is going on here.

Hi @k.huxmann Thanks for sharing the file. I've confirmed the reordering problem you described and have logged internal ticket FUS-49086 with the development team so they can investigate the root cause. While this may have been triggered by previous reorders or groups in the timeline, I believe the ordering should be maintained when expanding a group. Please let me know if you see any problems with this file down the road.

It still seems to be an issue and becomes a problem in rather complex fusion files.

Please provide a design that exhibits this behavior. A screencast would also be helpful.
