Thanks for your reply. I have simplify the profiles and testing another suggestion without using Shell. I am an artist and there is something very interesting about the randomness of the Loft result when there are uneven number of points in the curve profiles. I like the shapes that I get sometimes. In this case I need to hollow the form and sometimes the Shell works fine and others is not possible. Thanks for your suggestion.

I am posting a render of my current design to illustrate how Loft makes interesting decisions about where the planes connect to each profile.

I created this solid using Loft and Revolve. I was not so careful drawing the profiles for the Loft, but was able to split the solid in half. When I try to Shell it, it gives me the error that the shell cannot be created because the thickness and other issues. I changed parameters and still did not work. I feel that my solid may have issues but do not know how to check it. Asking before I redo the whole solid. Just like it how it is currently. Any Help/Advice/Suggestions will be appreciated.

You will need to remove these bumps from the model in order to shell it:

Add them after shelling using a sweep command.

Another option is to offset each of the sketch profiles to the desired wall thickness, then loft those profiles:

Thanks for the fast reply ETFrench, I will try the two solutions to see which one gives me what I want. I did change the design taking those bumps off, after the CNC, then I will machine them by hand. Like the idea of offsetting each profile with the thickness I want and then do a bolean with the two solids.

I would change the entire modeling approach to have more control over the outcome.

For example, the profiles should all have the same number of control points to Fusion can figure out proper mapping.

I would argue that each profile might better consist of a number of individual, connected curves.

The offsetting and then lofting the profiles does not work with my design. the inner and outer curves do not match at the same thickness. I get similar results by scaling the solid and subtracting it from the original un-scaled solid. The walls are all different thickness, not like a real Shell.

By playing around and designing new profiles, I was able to get an good Shell from one design. Have to go alone with it since have spend too much time in this design already. Thanks for your suggestions.
