Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for posting your query in this forum.

Similar result can be achieved in Fusion 360 using 'Arc Weld' option for two bend intersection 'Relief shape' and keeping the 'Miter gap' minimal e.g. 0.01. That output is close enough to your screenshot with caption - "see no miter cut is there and see the edges"

1. Edit Sheet Metal rule and set Miter gap to 0.01. (Notice the Corner Conditions for 2 Bend Intersection has Relief shape option, and setting it here will affect all the features created with this rule)

2. Create Edge Flange --> Override Rules --> 2 Bend Corner Override --> Relief Shape --> Arc Weld

3. Setting these parameters will give you the result as seen in this image.

4. Part file attached for your reference - Flange_ClosedCornerWithArc.f3d

There is no separate command to create / edit corner seams in Fusion 360 Sheet Metal yet.

By the way, in the image "how to avoid corner V cut in flat pattern" Unfold environment is seen, and probably you want to refer to Flat Pattern view. Please check the output of Flat Pattern as well.

Please check if this works for you. Thanks.

Hello Everyone,

My factory uses sheet metal from 0.5mm to 2mm and practically we are furniture maker with laser cutting machine and never required corner relief in furniture as we avoid them due to aesthetic reasons.

I am facing issue of of 2 flange corner and edge overlapping in fusion 360 sheet metal.

I am currently using Creo 2.0 where we have edge treatment option to control the overlap of the edges and also have option to make corner relief as zero.

can any one tell me how to make the parts in sheet metal of fusion 360

laser cut corner designed in creo

Also it is difficult to seam the edges and the tool required in fusion 360, do you have any method to seam the edges.

@Anonymous

In your last reply, "but the flat pattern is not showing it as a square cut and showing curve on the corner part", do you expect Flat Pattern output should look like this image?

If not, is it possible for you to share the part file with Flat Pattern or Unfold feature that you are trying to create in Fusion 360?

If yes (i.e. you expect this output), then folded model of such Flat Pattern will not give you the closed corner you have shown in your image. It means, the arcs you see in Flat Pattern view (in your last reply) fold in such a way that they close the corner tightly. On the other side, the folded model of the above flat pattern looks like this image, which is probably not your desired model.

Note that, the highlighted corner faces in the above image, produce the right angle you see in the flat pattern view.

Regarding your other concern, "Also it is difficult to seam the edges and the tool required in fusion 360, do you have any method to seam the edges", there is no command available in Fusion Sheet Metal yet to seam the edges. If you can provide some more information about which edge(s) you are trying to seam and the output, that will help.
