Hello Everyone,

Is an 'inverted' or a negative fillet possible on an external corner?

I'm trying to model a concave wooden trim for a window.

It seems such a faff to have to model a radius then Extrude or Sweep around a path when the facility to use a minus fillet dimension would make things so simple.

Thanks

It appears inventor has this feature built in, which is nice. I don't see it in Fusion though. I'll try the workaround.

This post was very useful for making a concave side to a tabletop in Fusion360. Thanks to this explanation and some trial and error, I was able to do the following:

- select one plane/side of the table

- on the corner model a sketch of a 3-point arc

- sweep around.

Now, the challenge I try to solve is that I have a top with a lowered midsection. And I would like to do a concave on the inside edge of the tabletop instead of the outside, as the glass that will be put on top has a fillet. I was able to make the sketch as described above and then transfer it to the inside plane. The challenge is that the sweep is not working. Does anyone have a solution or suggestion on how to make the concave on the inside plane?

For anyone stumbling on to this looking for an inverse filet, here is the (rather simple) steps I gathered from the video above (that user gets all the credit - I'm just acting as a secretary!):

Select the edge(s) that need the inverse filet applied

Click on the Create dropdown under the Solid menu

Click on Pipe

Adjust pipe diameter as needed (ensure Operation is set to Cut which will carve it out)
