Thanks a lot. I finally deleted the faulty feature and redesigned downstream what needed to be. Have a nice weekend 🙂

On my design, I had to change couple of things pretty early in the time line (design history). As a result, some components had changed pretty a lot and some features are missing their references. In that situation, I used to be able to edit the feature, click on the little cross next to the box where the missing component was referenced and then select the correct one. But now, for some reasons, I can't do that anymore: when I edit a working feature, the little cross is there and I can change the reference, but when the component referenced is missing, the little cross is not there. Thus I can't change it anymore! Would you have an idea what I can do? Redesigning the all stuff is really going to take me a long time 😞

I am using version 2.0.5357

Thanks a lot for your help

Hi,

it looks like the original was removed after mirroring.
So there can be nothing mirrored any more.

regards

Hello and thanks for answering.

My appologize: I tried to find a picture including both working and not working link at once. But then the picture became unrelevant in describing my problem accuratly.

So this time, you will find a serie of 3 picture showing the problem: I have changed the model imported at the first step of the time line. This new model is used as a mould, thus the next objects are a little bit different in shape and numbers. The error is showing on the feature "Create Component for body" (picture 2): indeed, the body is not there anymore! Then I edit the feature, but I can't select any of the bodies available, instead I have a message saying that I need to select a body from the same parent. But as far as I know, as the process that created the bodies is the same, they are all from the same parent: "SensorBox"... Isn't it?

Of course I do not have your specific file, but I can say that GENERALLY the little x is only available when editing a feature for which a reference is already entered and you want to change it. Once the reference is completely missing, the little x no longer displays, because you don't need to remove it from the pallet (because it is missing already).

Does that make sense? The x is there to remove a reference that is already selected, but since your reference is missing, there is nothing to remove, so the x is gone. Just pick the correct feature.

Ok yes it makes sense. So my problem is more to be called: "why I can't select an other body which comes from the same parent as a reference instead of the missing one"? Do you think I should close this post and create a new one?

Thanks a lot for your help 🙂

1. I am unable to answer your question without having your file. You might have to delete the problem operation from the timeline, and then with the timeline marker in the same place, recreate it from scratch. This may or may not cause more errors downstream depending on what was done later.

2. I do not think you need to start a new thread, as the title of this one is still accurately spells out your problem. But you can if you want to. It might help get some more views.
