Can't Apply Thickness Using Thicken – Help a Beginner

I'm trying to use the Thicken command to give thickness to the entire model, but I get an error. As far as I understand, it's because the extrusion direction goes in different ways due to the complex surface. How can I solve this problem? I'm just starting out with Fusion and don’t have much experience yet, so I’d really appreciate some help.

If you consider how part would be manufactured on a Lathe and Mill, I suspect that it could be modeled without using Surfacing tools.

For example, these look like the geometry left by the side of and endmill at an angle.

What does the other side look like?

Seems like I've seen this design here before. Is this a school assignment?

This is not a school assignment; a friend's wheel cap broke off. He had already ordered a 3D print of it, but the person who made it is no longer reachable, and the original model is lost. I'm trying to recreate it from scratch.

This is a wheel cover similar to the one shown in the photo. I don't have this exact wheel nearby to take a picture.

Should be able to find somewhere on the internet by make and model of the car.

But I assumed by the name that this was for a wheel for some sort of restaurant equipment.

In you example there was only one hole.

Are there supposed to be 5 holes?

More information is needed.

And you didn't answer my last question. Should it be completely circular or should it have a pentagon?

And you can use this glyph to insert photos directly into the discussion.

These wheels are not from a specific car model, as they were purchased separately and are non-standard.
I don't know the name or brand of the wheels.
I was only given the center cap to take measurements from and to use as a sample.
There is only one hole, and the cap should be completely circular.

OK. Check back tomorrow for a step-by-step video on creating the sketches and geometry.

It will be completely parametric - so you can edit any dimensions as needed.
