Joints; Handle and Spring tab question

Hello

I am trying to simulate a handle turning that compresses (bends) a spring locking tab. The joints work correctly individually but when I apply a tangent joint the spring tab moves to the left as opposed to "bending". When I lock the base of the spring tab down via a rigid joint the motion stops working. Any ideas? (pity that screen cast doesn't work anymore!)

Fusion does not support model deformation as a result of joint movement. It is not a physics engine. The joint solver just resolves rigid body positions in relation to component movement.

Thanks for your reply. I probably didn't explain myself very well but now that I have been able to record the screen (thanks Gunther) what I am trying to achieve/learn is combining the two joints.

I have a "bend" motion working well on the spring tab (see "spring tab motion") and a revolve motion working well on the handle ( see "Handle revolve") however when I try a tangent joint I can get the Spring tab to slide but not bend (see " Combine motion").

I guess I am losing tangency when I try the bend.

I am pretty new to joints so just wondering if this motion is possible.

Strictly for animation purposes, you nearly had it,

Pin the first component in the bar assembly.

Pin the Bolt in the Handle assembly.

Delete the Tangent relationship.

New Motion Link, handle Rev 270 and Last Spring leaf 10 degrees,

I suggest the bolt position on the handle. should align with the circle centre point, on the handle, when activated currently it drops to a low position, and may twist the bar. Might not suit the intent of design.
