I could do the whole thing in Blender and would likely be done in 30-40 minutes.

For Fusion 360 I would re-mesh that .stl file into a quad mesh to get a T-Spline.

Here's a screencast that explains how that can be done:

Hi,

Unfortunately, I have had a broken leg for the past 5 months. From this, I have found it to be extremely difficult to design a 3d printable removable cast. My orthopaedic surgeon is extremely interested in the use of 3d printed casts for diabetics that require total contact casting. I have built a high volume large format printer that can manufacture the casts quite fast; though I have struggled to design a cast in Fusion. all the forums on designing them point towards using Meshmixer, Rhino and Grasshopper. Is there a way to design a cast using only AutoDesk products?

https://all3dp.com/2/3d-printed-cast-the-most-promising-projects/

https://www.researchgate.net/publication/313654031_Custom_Design_Fabrication_of_3D_printed_cast_for_ankle_immobilisation

This is the most promising->

http://www.piper3dp.com/blogs/how-to-design-custom-3d-printable-casts-for-broken-bones/

I keep getting stuck at the same part in Fusion. I manage to reduce the triangles, hollow the mesh out, then convert it into a solid. My issue is that I am unable to thicken it?

Are you able to provide a step by step or video to help?

Use MeshMixer and the 'offset tool'. Takes all of 5 seconds.
