&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Got a strange question. I like the material/color of surfaces before they are stitched. Is there a way to keep that material/color or retrieve it once a surface has been stitched?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Nex question: How do I control on which side an assigned color appears on a surface?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;@Anonymous&amp;nbsp;- it's hard to tell for sure what you are trying to do without some more information, but here are some related tips:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;surfaces, by default have a "front side" and a "back side".&amp;nbsp; The front side will show any material or appearance applied to that surface, while the back side is shaded that gold color:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You can change which side is the front by using the "reverse normal" command:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Or, you can turn off this display entirely in the preferences:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;This will get rid of the gold display of the back side, and will display both sides as material/appearance color&lt;/P&gt;
