topic Some components dimmed as if they aren't active in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

Hello all,

I'll apologize in advance because this must be a "doh!" moment. I've been creating a model for an actual antique boiler that I own and while editing and rearranging things, I somehow managed to have some of my components dimmed, as if they are non-active, when the entire model should be active.

Here's a window snapshot and note that the top of the boiler is dimmed. This is the "Top Sheet" component. Only the Firebox and Barrel are not dimmed. If I activate the Boiler component, everything (except the Firebox of course) undims "properly." I don't have anything isolated or manually changed for opacity (as far as I know).

Here's the model if anyone cares to peek: https://a360.co/2J1YH3k Just be aware that I'm in the middle of editing. I won't change for a while as it's too late anyway :). I have history rolled back a ways and I know I have errors to fix "in the future," but this was starting to drive me batty so I decided I'd better ask for some help.

This looks like a bug to me. I think yo should "file/export" it to preserve init's current state and report it to AD.

No bug.

Change the opacity of the body.

Changing the opacity of the body (not the component) does indeed fix it!

So this leads me to 2 questions:

1. How on earth did I managed to get the model in this state? I'm guessing I ran into a bug and wish I could pinpoint it for the developers :(.

2. Is there an easy way to select bodies for opacity control? Fortunately I have a number of pattern-created parts so I only had to go through a handful, but some had multiple bodies :(. I did try the selection tools to filter for bodies, but I found that the opacity control is missing when multiple bodies are selected.

Anyway, I have fixed my copy of the model but have not yet saved it. I did try to activate specific components and it seems ok now.

I *think* this first occurred when I placed a new joint between the firebox and boiler way back in history.
