Hi All,

I'm coming from Solidworks and am having some issues with a simple fillet. In Fusion 360, the fillet will extend beyond the selected edge. I've tried rule fillet and tangent chain options. Attached are three screen captures. The first two are from Fusion and the third is what happens in SW.

If you split the face that can possibly avoided. You can also split the body and then re-combine after filleting.

I am not sure there is anything that can be done using just the filleting tool.

It is generally better to share the model so we have data to play with.

Attached is a quick file I mocked up. It has the original fillets suppressed as well as the split face version as suggested. Splitting the face works, but it's not a great solution if you have a lot of these to do in a single file.

*Edit: I also tried creating them as separate bodies which works, but again it seems like you would be adding a lot of steps to get to the end result.

Here's a better example of where this gets cumbersome.

Yep, no doubt!

@jeff_strater You know, it would be nice if this would not happen when tangent chain is de-selected. That way a user has a choice between both "modes" Just a thought.
