Timeline Marker Still Disappearing!

I saw that a timeline marker (history marker) was apparently fixed in an update last week. On the current version yet my timeline marker still disappears periodically. It seems to happen when I am making significant back and forth changes in the timeline.

Only way to fix it is to restart fusion.

Jip - still an issue.

Sometimes it helps to hover with the mouse over the timeline and use the mouse wheel to move back and force. Sometimes using the navigation buttons helps.

Just FYI: there are actually several different bugs that can cause this. The recent episode you refer to was a bug recently introduced that made it go away after making any assembly component active. You are not encountering that, based on your description.

If you could determine and list the steps you are taking to see the bug, I'll add either a new case based on that, or add your case to the matching existing bug. The known bugs for this problem are much harder to fix (that's why it's been around a while).

Again, to be clear: there are several distinct and different paths to a lost timeline marker, you may have found a new one, or just old ones. For now, you can right click on the timeline to move the marker, and also use the play controls to move the marker. Please let me know if that doesn't help you.

Managed to get the marker back by resizing the whole Fusion 360 window.

@Phil.E sorry that I cannot say what caused it to vanish. Only 2nd or 3rd time for me... Will try to keep an eye on it.

Update: just lost the marker in 2.0.6231 (latest version in Aug 2019). This time, it happened with a very short timeline (see below).

Resizing the window didn't help; moving around the timeline didn't help; changing active component didn't help. So I needed to do an otherwise unnecessary save and close/restart Fusion 360. Now the marker is back, of course.

This is one of the tedious bugs in the product.

How to help Autodesk track it down?

The "thing" framed in red looks like a timeline marker to me.
