Parametric design options for multiple components with a single file?

I have two different parts (part number 1 and part number 2) that have similar designs, but fit to different components of a system. I have parametrically designed p/n 1 successfully using formulas to drive component features such as ID, OD, length, etc. Is there a way within a single fusion file, to have multiple components, design iterations (ie p/n 1 and p/n2) use the same set of parameters and formulas? I don't want to have to enter each sketch and change every single different formular name for each dimension each time. Couldn't we have a way in the formula menu to say, select a name p/n 1 or p/n2, and have all the different parameters automatically update based on a single click? Like say p/n1 has OD #1 and ID#1, but p/n 2 has OD#2 and ID#2. In other words, selecting the name of the component would automatically update all of the different formulas and parameters associated with the design iteration of the individual component.

Can you explain your ideas with a parameter list and the screenshot(s) as an example?

Well Fusion can't do what I'm inquiring about, so a screen shot is pretty useless in this case. SolidWorks has the function that I'm talking about. You are able to create design iterations and save them as versions within the same file. I can make much more sense of it verbally explaining than trying to type it out.

Yes, I think you're on the right track. Select the different part number, and the different parameters are automatically updated and the solid model is then updated according to which set of parameters you selected. Still all the while only having a single component in the Fusion file.

Autodesk Inventor is the Autodesk product equivalent of SolidWorks.

I asked for screenshot and parameter list, because I didn't know some terms and hoped for a better understanding.
But if you think it's useless, for whatever reason, so be it.

yeah, didn’t mean to sound rude. Just too much to explain, a static screen shot wouldn’t cut it.
