Thanks for the detail. I can repeat it. For some reason logging out + closing Fusion resets the UI to legacy UI, but with the UI preview in a "ready to go" state, meaning you must restart again to see it. That's not convenient.

I would say that unless it's a public computer there is no reason to log out of Fusion when you close it. It is a good habit to restart Fusion 360 (or any CAD application) from time to time, as well as the entire computer. So you have a good habit I am glad to see in use.

Regarding the UI preview, it will not always be a preview. 😉 (and this situation will go away)

Thanks,

Even though I checked UI Preview in my preferences, each time I log in, I have to uncheck and re-check it in order to see the new UI. Is there a fix for this? I'd like for the new UI to come up each time I log in.

Are you using the same computer each time you log in? If it's your own personal machine, try not logging out. If it is a public computer you will need to check the box and restart Fusion. This is a known issue that may not get addressed any time soon.

First, just to be sure we are talking about exactly the same thing, try this:

1. Set the preview check box "On" by checking it.

2. Restart Fusion.

3. Does the new UI appear? It should.

4. Restart Fusion again.

5. The new UI should appear.

6. If you log out and back in again, on the same computer, the new UI should be there. Is that what happens?

The problem occurs when I log out and close the program and then start it up and log back in. The UI reverts back to the standard (old) UI.

If I log out but don't close the program, the new UI will appear the next time I log in.

I guess I'll have to close the program without logging out from here on.
