I've created a materials library using the 'manage materials' palette, however when i open the 'physical materials' palette and click the drop down to select a library my custom one does not appear.

Am i missing something? Is there a way to achieve this?

Can you post some screenshots?

Are you familiar with the difference between materials and appearances?

Thanks. I don't use fusion for rendering so am really only concerned with physical materials (I.e mass calculations etc) although i would generally want to associate different custom materials with arbitrary colours just for the sake of visually distinguishing between them in the model space.

Please see the attached screenshots. As you can see i've made a new library (or so i thought) in the materials manager. I thought it would then show up in the library drop down in the physical materials palette but nope....?

I'm really just replying to this in the hope that someone might see it who knows the answer... Is there really no one else who has tried to accomplish this? All I want to do is have my custom libraries accessible in the physical materials palette
