mirroring "extrude-cut" feature

Sometimes I create a "negative" extrude ("cut), and then I try to mirror over a plane to a different body, or to a part of the same body. More often than not, the cut does not appear on the mirror. Fusion does not report an error though. Any thoughts about this behavior? I have a hunch that this happens particularly frequently when mirroring a feature twice (mirror of a mirror).

we'd have to see a specific case to say for certain. In general, mirror of a feature should work fine. Sometimes, it helps to change the compute type (optimized, identical, adjust) to get the correct behavior. I would expect an error if it does not work.

If you have a case that illustrates this problem, can you share it here?

The behavior seems quite idiosyncratic. In general, it seems that things work better if I (1) select a feature in the timeline and (2) start the mirror command. Then usually things work fine. If I however (1) call the mirroring command, and (2) select the feature, things often do not work.

I am sorry that I cannot be more precise at this stage - but I suspect that there may be some buggy behavior at play here. I will continue to monitor things and will report again though.

I'm having the same issue - see the screencast. Changing the compute type doesn't seem to have any effect.

https://autode.sk/2AVIAgO

Screencast will be displayed here after you click Post.
e9aa6233-4f75-4cce-ab19-9138c0103f10
