Where are the Sketch Tools in the New UI?

I have a very basic question. Where did the Sketch tools go?

I used the program today for the first time in ages. When I closed it and started it, everything was changed.

I opened a sketch I was working on. There are no tools for adding rectangles, circles, and so on.

I went to the 24 lessons for beginners, and the instructor was using the old UI, so no help. Where are the tools hiding? They appeared while I was trying to work on something, but then they vanished again, and after clicking everything on the screen, I have not found them.

Now the tools are popping up and disappearing. The toolbars keep changing without any kind of notice.

Another note: you should get real forum software.

click here and sketch tools appear:

Sketch tools are only visible in the active sketch mode!

Thanks for the reply.

It looks like you have to load the sketch, click on the grid, and THEN click on the Sheet Metal icon. When I click on the icon without clicking the grid first, nothing happens.

I don't know why they call it "Sheet Metal." Doesn't it just mean "2-D"?

Well, I was wrong. I opened a new sketch, clicked the grid, clicked the icon, and nothing happened. I went through this process a second time, and then the tools appeared. I don't know if this PC is too slow for Fusion 360 or what.

To create a new sketch, just right click on any plane and select Create Sketch from the context menu. There is no need to go the Sheet Metal tools.

To edit a sketch, right click on any geometry in the sketch or right click on the sketch in the Browser and select Edit Sketch.

The base position of the Sketch button is on the left!
