How to apply a threaded appearence to STEP files ?

Hi, I'm currently working on a step file on which I'd like to apply a threaded look to one of my elements, but I realise that there is no threaded look in the Fusion 360 library. However, this texture must exist as it is applied when creating unmodelled threads on classic parts. Do you have a solution for this, or do you know where the threaded texture is located in the software files so that I can create a custom appearance? I have tried with images of threads but it is difficult to make an acceptable appearance with a pattern that repeats itself as it should.

Is there any reason you can't just add a thread to the model? Or is there no standard thread close enough in fusion's thread libraries?

It seems I can't apply a thread directly to the STEP file, Fusion doesn't
seem to recognise the face, I think this is probably due to the mesh.
However, I'm relatively new to Fusion 360, having worked with SolidWorks
and Inventor.
By the way this is a SolidWorks model converted into a STEP part thanks to
Wikifactory

Yes I tried the thread feature which applie the threaded appearance in a normal use but it doesn’t work due to STEP format and the fact that I am not able to select the face

If this design is, indeed, composed of mesh bodies, you will not be able to apply a thread. Thread needs a cylindrical surface. A mesh body is composed of triangular facets, and so is not a cylinder.

I don't know anything about Wikifactory, but if the SWX model has been converted into a mesh, that won't work. The SWX user should be able to export from SWX as native STEP with precise geometry. You will have much better luck with that geometry.
