Too many facets to convert to brep

Is there a way to find the size of these threads from a mesh? Ideally, I would like to convert it to f3ds but it's way too many facets to make the body as details as the mesh, so if anyone has a solution for this id be very thankful.

So a few things. First an stl doesn’t have units. So any measurements are going to be relative.

Do you know the nominal diameter for example?

Use the section analysis tool to see the thread profile:

You can then do a search for well drilling pipe thread specifications.
