Hello, I would like to know if fusion enables to make a copy of a file/design with all versions preserved. If I perform save as the new file contains only the one version which I saved. I observe the same behavior if make a copy of the file. What I need is identical copy of a file/design including all versions of the design.

Thank you.

Jakub

Hello,

this post has been quite for a couple years, but the issue has never been solved.

I have the same problem and search for a solution.

To answer the question WHY people may need the feature of copying a file including all versions:

In my case its for educational puproses.

I built an example file of a workflow in Fusion (for example start with sketches, extrude, create various components, etc. until i finally get to the CAM-Workspace at one Point).

In a workshop, the participants are supposed to follow me step by step to get to the same result.

Sometimes students run into problems and are not able to continue a task.

Instead of investing way too much time into fixing those students problems, with versions they get a chance to just jump to the next step so they can continue working with all the others.

Due to the fact that copying with versions is not possible, i need to let all my students work on MY ORIGINAL FILE, if one of them hits "save" instead of "save as", my example file gets f´d up.

For any model, you have access to any version you desire and can revert back to it by simply selecting it and then selecting Open. From this point you only need to use Save As command to return your model to that version. With the model open, right click on the top level, and choose History. From the resulting dialog box select the version you want and then select Open.

This is correct, but as soon as the original file (20 Versions) was copied, it drops to a New "Version 1".

No Matter if trying to choose a Version in the data panel or the way you described, its not possible to travel back in time, there is no history to choose from.
