Drawing - section and detail labels

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could give us a hand on an issue that we ran into when using Fusion 360 to produce technical 2D drawings.

We have been working on a complex multi-sheet drawing for the last 2 to 3 weeks and when it came time to verify it, we decided that it could be useful to reorder some of the sheets.

The problem is that, when you do so, the section and detail labels keep the original order.

So let's say that I have section M and N on sheet 1, and P and Q on sheet 2, if I decide to reorder these two sheets, my drawing would then show P and Q first, and M and N then, which is not correct.

I was wondering if there is a way to reorder the labels, just like what you can do with the balloon reorder tool?

Our labels go from A to Y on this drawing on 9 different sheets. Re-doing even half of this drawing to show a correct label order definitely is not something that we want to have to do (that would be a big waste of our time).

It is also a problem if you want to add an extra detail or section in-between existing details and sections on a specific sheet. For example I would then have M and N on sheet 6, plus a new section or detail Z on this same sheet, followed by P and Q on sheet 7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is on our roadmap, but unfortunately we don't have a viable workaround in the meantime. I'll make sure to update this thread when we do start work on this item so you can look forward to getting it in an update thereafter.

Hi @AlexFComp & others - just circling back to let you know that as of the latest update (check out the What's New HERE) you're able to rename your section and detail views.
