Do you want to learn to do this right?

Are there any unresolved issues (yellow or RED) highlights in your Timeline?

You probably should have asked questions much earlier.

I recommend that you start over from scratch using what you learned from this attempt.

Sketch9 - unconstrained circles in sketch pattern. Do not use sketch pattern if you can use Feature Pattern.

Blue sketch geometry (depending on your color scheme) should keep you awake at night.

Next dimension is d331 - this would seem to indicate a lot of trial and errors occurred.

Combine1 - why oh why didn't you use the Combine option with Extrude3? (actually pattern feature not sketch)

Fillets - pattern features.

Split. OK, I am officially lost on your true Design Intent.

Mirror. First unresolved issue...

Hole1. Pattern Features.

Hole2. Uhmmm, let me stop here.

Yikes. I couldn't stop. What is with DeleteFace1? Simply delete (or edit) the misplace Hole. (or better yet, Pattern Feature)

Are you willing to start over?

"a reasonably decent looking finished model"

As the saying goes, "You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig."

Something that "looks good" can be hiding a lot of underlying issues.

so here' my model.....it's got errors and my construction / Sketching technique leaves a lot to be desired....please have a look and kill it with comments on where you think it could be better.....I'm not sure why I thought it was a good idea to make separate components for the lugs....I've got a good idea of how I'd approach it again but as it is I've got a reasonably decent looking finished model but I just know the construction of it is not good and this I'm sure will cause issues when it comes time to put it into CAM

https://a360.co/2sKMxo0

I am not a CAM person just a model modeller. So I would not know if your errors would surface in CAM.

Can't tell you if the manufacture or stresses will be ok. Will leave that to your experts.

As a model you pretty well have it summed up.

Having got there in the end, you have a one piece model.

If building the motor you will need a component for each individual piece.

If you are going to use components, everything for it should be in it. You have top level sketches some not constrained, and more sketches in the main component.

If copying the real part then sizes will be correct, (but we can't tell) and a wrong sized canvass does not engender confidence.

My 2 cents....

As has already been identified..... you'll learn a lot by just setting this one aside, and starting over from scratch.

One high-level indicator that we look at on my team is simply the length of the timeline. There are absolutely cases where it's best to separate features to better capture design intent, but for the most part, having a long and convoluted timeline is usually seen as a sign of poor planning before modeling. *IN GENERAL*, the better you plan/work through your modeling approach, the simpler your timeline can be, which in turn makes the model more robust. A poorly planned model breaks easily (yellows and reds) and is MUCH more difficult to fix when it does break.

A couple of questions somewhat unrelated to the modeling, per se.... but you did mention 'when it gets into CAM'....

- I'd think this is probably a cast cover? Which means that it would have been cast in a mold, then had mating faces machined flat, and holes drilled and tapped.

- no draft angle? Not that it couldn't be done, but without draft, it would be difficult to pull this out of the mold.

- missing fillets? a number of fillets missing on lug features. Without fillets, again, it would be both difficult to demold and also difficult to machine the sharp corners.
