Hello,

I'm modeling an elbow and am putting some some flats on elbow to allow an assembler to apply some "persuasion" to assist with the friction fit of the elbow into a tube. I've modeled the flats but there is a small area that I'd like to blend into the original elbow and I haven't been able to figure out how to do this. I've circled the area on the attached image. Any suggestions?

Ron

Delete Face would be the sledgehammer approach.

Can you File>Export and then Attach *.f3d for finesse technique?

Thanks for the quick response! Well, I figured it out. The sketch profile coming to a tapered point at the tangency was causing the problem. I offset the point by 25 microns and then swept it about the existing corner radius axis. I then extruded the the same profile linearly and that took care of the triangle gap in the model.

It just took a little finagling and I'm sure there's a gap in the interior but that won't be a problem when I 3D print the model.

Thanks again.
