Hi there, im very new to Fusion 360 and currently trying to make a solid out of my imported STL surfboard, so i can edit it for 4 other models. Eventually i am sending them to be made with a 5 axis CNC machine for use in a towing tank. I will also be using them for CFD analysis too.

Basically i tried to make a closed mesh, but it went all weird, so i tried pulling a t spline plane to the mesh but i can only do the underside, and its not quite the right shape anyway. any help would be amazing!

I agree with @TheCADWhisperer , draw it yourself and you will have better results. If you still want to convert the mesh, there are hundreds of videos on Youtube on converting meshes to solid.

You could try turning it into a quad mesh using this free software: (Instant Meshes)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sV88Z3cXdY

Then re-import it and then convert to a t-spline body, then to a solid..

Thanks everyone, i managed to do it by converting it to a part and then patching and stitching the holes to the main body. Thankyou very much for your fast replies though!
