Hello I was wondering if someone could give me a hand, I’m new to fusion 360. I turned a 2d DXF file into a 3D STL, and trying to take two water jet drives join them to the transom of a RC boat I’m trying to make. And watch a few videos and been at this for about 2-3 days and getting no where

We will need the file to give you that hand, with your data.

Not a good start with 2d DXF and STL in the same phrase.

File > Export and attach to another message.

Ok, got them, do you know how big these are?

Motor housing almost a meter apart.

Fusion does not model well with stl,

I have the 2 fittings mounted where I think they go, bet it's not right, but no clues in the files, just realised they would upside down like this,

Full sized fittings and model size transom, it is what it is....

More detail?

So with the transom I printed out its about 194mm top corners, 113mm tall. printed the jet unit and the transom to see if they would both work without trying to re scale everything. I've been trying to make it so the 4 holes on both jets protrude on the other side of the transom, along with rotating the 4 holes on both jet drives so they wont be pushing the stern of the boat into the water on turns. I went through your file and tweaked it for what I'm trying to do. Looking at from the back, the left intake is what I'm trying to get at but with the right is how I want to get the 4 holes to screw on the stator nozzles on if that makes sense?

It's move > rotate body.

Measure the angle it has to go in / from the dxf, start the rotate and type in the angle.

Best I can suggest. Currently it is 10 times too big, that's just mm and cm error.

Might help...
