We are designing a table for a chop saw. Secondary fence slides along the primary fence using "T" track with

knobs to tighten. How do I get the holes in the primary fence and the holes in the knobs to center themselves and

the knob to be flush with the fence??

Thanks.

Not a whole lot the Forum users can do to answer your question accurately without your model. Please attach it.

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

You want to use Joints in a Fusion Assembly for positioning, connecting and possible motion. The video will explain.

On another subject, you need to learn the proper method of creating Components in Fusion. Components are required if you want to use Joints plus it makes modeling a lot easier. Basic process is to create your Component first, activate it, and the sketch and create your component Bodies. Everything will fall under the Component in the Browser.

If my Forum post solved your question, please select the "Accept Solution" icon to do three things. First it allows others to find a solution to a similar question, two, it closes the Forum post and last, it acknowledges that you accept the solution given. If you need further help, please ask. If you like to read why "Accept Solutions are important, take a look at this webpage.

Thank you for responding.
Should have been more specific. I have a miscellaneous file of pieces, T
track, knobs,
bolts that I use all the time and are converted to components. I can just
select (copy) the
component I want and paste it (paste new) into the file I am working on.
Accidentally dis-
covered the answer to my question. By selecting "move" then "point to
point" selecting the edge
of the knob then the center of the hole the 2 holes will line up. Who knew.
Thought I would
have to somehow select the centers of the two holes. Another quick question
if you don't mind.
I need varying lengths of T track but apparently there isn't enough "face"
to select to use "press/pull" is there another way to lengthen extrusions
like this?
Again thanks for your input.

I would probably use the Offset Face command to length and shorten the track. In regards to your "solution" you found, you still need to use Joints to fix your components in place as Move is only a temporary position and subject to moving accidentally.
