topic How to create component hierarchy in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

I am new to Fusion360 had having a blast. I built a single body up from sketches, pretty fun. It's just one component of my final assembly though. I just converted it to a component, but have two problems. I can't figure out how to create what I think of as the final assembly, which I think it also just the lop level component. And, when I right click to create a component, it looks like it is creating a component WITHIN my one component that I have. (Can a component actually include other components?)

To summarize, I need to create a top level component, above the one I just created from my body, and then create more components that are at the same hierarchical level to my one component.

yes, you can have sub-components inside components.

new components will be created under the sub-component that is active (radial button) if you use "create->new component".

they will be created under the component you right click on if you use "RMB->create new component"
