Hi,

my first post here, so far loving the Fusion360.

I am trying to model this speaker. Not so complicated mesh but I am having a problem with evenly spaced out holes mainly in curved area. Image below shows photo of the product [left side] and my model [right side].

I found this forum thread from which I adopted the workflow.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-design-validate/multiple-holes-on-a-complex-surface/td-p/6053060

First I create a sketch pattern of desired point positions. Then I project it on surface in Z axis on the surface. After I create "Axis perpendicular to Face at Point". And from there I align the objects with which I cut out the holes. Workflow works fine, but in the curved areas I get uneven spacing between the points. I understand that projection along the axis gives me this result. I tried other variations of surface projections with "closest point" option with different positions of base points but nothing gives me the good result.

Is there any way to overcome this issue? I briefly looked at "Sheet Metal" tools, if I can find anything useful there. But I was not successful . I would appreciate any help. I spent too much time solving this problem, until now I did not find any good solution.

Thank you @davebYYPCU for your solution. It would solve the problem of uneven spacing of the pattern but this workflow would work only with row of pattern crossing the center due to pattern structure.

From top view photograph of the product is visible that pattern is deformed/wrap a little. This is probably due to manufacturing process. Where at first the holes are drilled onto the straight metal sheet and afterwards bend to the shape. This is similar to my initial workflow, but in my situation I was projecting the points in one axis which created the uneven pattern. But in manufacture they are bending not projecting [as I think]. Is there any way how to simulate this kind of bending with the Metal Sheet tools or other?
