Drawings tip of the week #2: Suppress All Except Selected

When working with assembly drawings, time spent suppressing components and toggling on/off visibility between sheets and when working with parts lists can add up. Did you know you can use ‘Suppress All Except Selected’ from the Right Click menu rather than un-checking suppression boxes in order to quickly update your Drawing views and Parts Lists?

Select the component(s) you’d like to remain in your view & parts list (you can Shift-Select or Ctrl-Select to choose multiple).
Right-Click on one of the selected components and choose ‘Suppress All Except Selected’ - Your view and table will automatically update to remove the suppressed components (toggling visibility off will only alter your view).

3. You’ll still need to remove the disassociated balloons - use window select and the delete command in order to clean up your drawing.
