You can make a 3D Sketch. So if you have the bottom hexagon, then create the top (use parameters so you ca update faster the dimensions) when you have the top shape, create a sketch and make the lines as you see on the pictures. You can use pipe or sweep to make the solid.

Hello,

I'm tring to reproduce a table similar to the one in the photos but I'm not able to work with diffent plane and particular angles. Please have a look at the image. I can make the two hexagons, base and top, but the sqare tube profiles are very difficult to make. How I should proceed? which is the best way? I want to be able to change the hight ot he table and the dimensions of the hexagon and keep everything dimamic.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello @JHRendon ,

Thanks for the file also this si a big steo forward... I tried to use 3d sketch for the first time but I was not able to use it because it looked like that I hado to find the angle first, but I didnt kno the angle. Can you reccomend a tutorial video? Also the structure that you did has tuisted tubing ( I want to avoid that), it is more difficult then what I thought.

I already made this drawing with sketchup and I made it quicly because the 3d sketch.

You can use Sweep instead Loft then. 🙂

So with parameter you can change height, tube dimensions, hexagon dimensions too.

Here is a version that doesn't use any 3D sketching. Only 2D sketches. With a few parameters, just so you can see how they work if you don't already know. It's just a rough intro...you would have to decide how/where you would want to trim the various pieces to join up.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/3e78a950-ab41-489e-b97b-8ca5da304c08
