Trouble extruding Airfoil

Hey guys, I have imported an airfoil through 'Add-in'. It's not a closed one(at the tail end). So, I have used the 3-point arc and tried to close it. It looks like it is closed but it is not, which doesn't let me extrude the airfoil. In the past few days, I've managed to make this airfoil a closed figure and extruded it without any problem. I am not sure what I might have done wrong. Can someone please explain to me what the problem is? I have attached the file if you would like to take a look.

My skills with Fusion 360 are limited. Pardon me if this is a silly question. Thank you in advance.

you can put a arc (or a spline) across the bottom, and then use tangent constrains. adding the constrains will tend to change the shape of the foil a bit, so project it into another sketch first.

Hi, thank you for your help. It works if I project the geometry.

But I've managed to do it few days ago without projecting the geometry. Do you have any idea how that happened?

I didn't really do anything new.

Project it - why?

That is not a normal workflow, and can not see a reason for it.

Lock the spline with Fix constraint.

Add a 2 point Spline to the end points, and make both ends of it Tangent.

Might help....

Agreed, temporary applying fix constraint, and then removing after would be a more direct workflow.

I suggest using project b/c it has the effect of "fixing" the spline in place. Given the bugs associated with using the fix constraint on splines, I'm reluctant to suggest it as a workflow to some one new who wouldn't know what to look for should issues arise. Project isn't a bad concept to introduce to some new who may not have used it before.

Don't know. it probably did move a little, you just didn't notice it. I had to look close to see it was happening. other than that I don't have any idea.

Sorry, I didn't know about any spline - Fix bugs, two sketches for the same job woke me up.
