Exclude parts in BOM

Hi.

Is there really no option to exclude parts from the BOM list?

Sometimes I need to use parts as a reference but I dont want it in the BOM, I've been searching for this issue and could find some old posts about this but no solution?

Couldnt be that difficult

you have to hack it a bit. create a drawing view of just the components you want to be on the BOM. put this view off to the side (ie, not on the sheet). create a BOM table based on that drawing view, and put on the sheet. Balloons you add to parts on the sheet will stay associated with the BOM.

I believe your only other option from what @laughingcreek suggested is to suppress the parts you don't want included on the BOM (uncheck the box in the browser tree to remove). But this removes it from the drawing view as well...
