I am having in issue where I am trying to save a component I designed in one project to be able to break the link and increase the height to make a new panel for another component that is only slightly taller.

Yet when I save a copy of the component and then open it up in a new project, it seems to move the sketch from the Origin. In this case the bodies are on the origin point as expected, but the sketch moves away. As well as the Component body is now solid instead of having its cutout.

There are no errors given, and the timeline seems to be fine.

Here is me highlighting the component "TopPanel" in the main project.

The Item in question is just 1 body as seen here:

Here is the sketches shown to be a part of this component and not accidentally stored somewhere else.

Me saving the copy

Finally me importing it and seeing the body go solid, and sketch moving from the origin.

At this point I am not sure what is causing this, and this I feel is easiest for me to work this as I just need to split the body, and extend it instead of having to re-sketch all dimensions.

Here is the main project. 90% of the project is purely for reference and brainstorming, as most of the components I don't have actual measurements excluding the frame.

As I am looking through this assembly, there are a number of other problems that should be addressed before getting to the problem in the title.

Lots of components that aren't properly assembled and are still "floating". A large number of capture position features, which should not be needed at all in an assembly like this

Yea a lot has to do I am just hanging parts on there to see how they look. Some stuff I have proper measurements but a lot of items I have, don't. So I haven't spent a very long time to make sure everything is exactly placed. So I would get a rough measurement based on what I can gather and see if it fits. Which is why there so many capture movements. So until I get the items, and take actual measurements I'm guessing anyways. The only items I do care about is the panel in question as I will be laser cutting that.

Alright, so can I assume we are pointing to the Capture Positions being the problem and fusion may be loosing reference to positioning during the Copy.

As well as I assume this Assembly will be challenging to fix due to the Timeline references. Is there a good way to fix the currently Assembly?
I am looking into making a new Assembly, where I import everything into that which is ready to be setup with joints, the idea being now since I am working with some components that would have critical dimensions, that I would take what I been experimenting with and attempt to copy into the new Assembly, if there are issues like the Panel then just redo them so they are properly designed and keep Fusion happier than it currently seems to be. At least doing it for items like the Panels/ Items I plan to Laser cut.

Never done an assembly with this many components so a lot of learning has been had. Plus like I mentioned a lot of the components I have been working with I don't have proper dimensions so there a lot of wiggle room I have to account for, the Case Frame, and fans being the only items that is modeled with accuracy. All other items are basically modeled off their product listings, so close enough to represent, but could never use as something to base placement off. Which is why I have haphazardly placed items around.
