Hello lefteriskat,

I'm sorry that the update is not working as it should.

It seems you have been given a bad/corrupt updated update program. The first thing to do is to try to force the system to get a new update tool. Do this by ensuring all instances of fusion360.exe and streamer.exe have been terminated (use task manager if necessary), and then deleting the folder %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\webdeploy\meta\streamer (one of these folders will be invisible in Explorer, so enter that path exactly has written in to the address bar of windows explorer, and you should be taken righ to it).

After performing these steps, re-launch fusion to see if the update performs as expected.

If this still does not resolve the issue, again delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\webdeploy\meta\streamer with the applications mentioned above terminated, and run the installer found at http://www.appstreaming.autodesk.com/install/app/73e72ada57b7480280f7a6f4a289729f/

This should perform a full install of the new version, and the old version should still be removed at the next opportunity.

If you continue to have difficulty, please post back to this topic for continued diagnosis.

Thanks,

Steven

OK, so it's basically the same problem 😕

The diagnosis will get a little more involved now, but let me ask if you have an ATI video card. I have seen an issue like this in that case. If not, then we will need to use a specialized tool to capture what software is being loaded during the install.

Thanks,

The exact procedure may vary according to Windows version installed but try:

Right-click the desktop and select display settings.

Click "Advaned Display Settings"

Click "Display adapter properties"

This will pop up a dialog with information about your video card.

I did find the forum thread in which an issue similar to this was resolved. If you do have an ATI card, see if you can follow the solution discovered there, and if necessary, the instructions on capturing a process monitor log file posted here, but send me a link to the results as a personal message.

OK... AMD cards could exhibit the behavior (I forget that ATI is an obsolete brand).

Please look for an option to uninstall "Hydravision" in Programs and Features (or you may have to launch the "AMD Catalyst" installer to remove the option for "Hydravision").
