unable to install script

I have been trying to install the image2 surface script for the last week. I have searched the web with no avail. I was able to get the add ins to

to see it but it would not run. Now when I try to load it thru the add ins it says unable to find or see a script. The files are there when using

windows explorer you can see them in the folder. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello,

If the script has been in your disk, you can add it to Fusion by the steps as below:

1. Launch Fusion.

2. Invoke Scripts & Add-In Manager.

3. Hit "+" button next to "My Add-In".

have done that and it still wont show the java script files

Hello,

After you hit "+" button, a folder selection dialog will pop up. You have to select the folder which javascript files are located at. This was behaviour changes in the latest Fusion update. The old behaviour was to select a file(e.g. *.js, *.py).

did that selected the folder and error message comes up

A single script or add-in cannot be identified in the selected folder.
Please organize your programs so each script or add-in is in its own
folder.

Hello,

I did download the script and gave a try. The root cause is that the script didn't have configuration file(*.manifest), which will be necessary if there are multiple *.js files in the folder.

I create one for it. Please download attached file and unzip/place it into the folder which Image2Surface.js is located at. Please note the names of the two files need be same.

downloaded unzipped and put in the same folder as java script files are
in. Went to add-ins hit the plus button on scripts selected
folder closed fusion and restarted fusion go to add-ins doesn't show up on
list

I don't see the issue you mentioned. Please take look at the video what I am doing.

Maybe there are some differences between "Image2Surface" scripts we are referencing. I was assuming it was downloaded from https://github.com/hanskellner/Fusion360Image2Surface . If not, it would be great if you can send me (marshal dot tu at autodesk dot com) the script which you were seeing the issue.

I've updated the code in Github to now include a manifest file.

NOTE: This is a script and not an add-in. Please install as a script in the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog.

couldn't get it to install in scripts it did recognize it in add-ins. The
window that allows you to select pic and heights doesn't open. Have
followed directions on the web and and no success

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty.

Are you using the manifest file that I just added to the Github project or the one Marshal sent to you? The one he sent mistakenly indicated it was an add-in but it's actually a script. If the manifest is not the one from the Github project then please grab that file and replace the one you have.

I just successfully downloaded the script from Github and installed it in the "Scripts" section of the "Scripts and Add-Ins" dialog.

Hello,

I am not clear what's difference between our environments. Some more information will be needed to diagnose the issue.

1. What's OS type, version? What's the version of Fusion 360?

2. Was the issue specific to Image2Surface script?

You can try to add other JS scripts and see if they work or not? I attach a test script for your use.

It would be good if you can record the whole process how you downloaded/added the script? Or we can schedule a remote assistance. I can send you detailed guideline to set up remote assistance by email if you provide me your email address.

Hello everyone,

I have this exactly the same problem.

I noticed that when I click on button "create" from the Script and add-ins box. I don't have the "Java Script option radion button" like I viewed from other Youtube Video.

I don't know how I can fix it.

It is because that I have a student version?

My setup :

Win10 64bits ver.1079

Fusion 360 ver. 2.0.3800

Active plan : Fusion 360 Ultimate, Student

I am having the same issue. I downloaded and followed all instructions here to install but I can't see the script in the list, not even after a restart of the program.

was never able to get it to work ended up giving up because I had other
things that needed my attention good luck
