Thank you for your effort, Julian.

I tried on Win 10 x64. It doesn't work. I tried Both versions. Stopped 3DXware, Stopped Fusion, copied all the files, started 3DXware and ran F360.

No change.

An yes, You could rotate in sketch mode before some update.

Thaler

It's not a perfect solution, but it's a lot better than using just a regular mouse.

These config files are brand new, and have only been tested on Win10 x64. There may be bugs. Please have a look at the Readme.md before installation. That said, feel free to download and test them here:
https://github.com/jgroeli/F360-3DMouseIn2DDrawings

Thanks to jwick on the 3D Connexion blog, without whom this would not have been possible.

These config files are now updated for the latest 3DxWare driver 10.6.5. Other than the known issues described in the readme these are working well on Win10 x64.

Downloads are available here: https://github.com/jgroeli/F360-3DMouseIn2DDrawings/releases

If anyone sees any other issues, please let us know.

Thanks!

After using this for a while it seemed to me that it'd be more intuitive to have the axis mappings match more closely to the other modeling workspaces, so I've created an updated release to implement that. Zooming is now mapped to the Y axis, and panning up and down is mapped to the Z axis.

Here's a link to the updated release:

https://github.com/jgroeli/F360-3DMouseIn2DDrawings/releases/tag/v0.1.2

As always, let me know if you have any issues with it.

Thanks!

This approach no longer works because Fusion has changed its architecture. But I have created an add-in that does the same thing. The only limitation is that the script essentially intercepts 3D Mouse input and injects it as mouse input thus momentarily hijacking the mouse. So you can't both zoom/pan and use the mouse at the same moment. There's no way around it. I tried injecting touch inputs but no. Fusion can only pan and zoom drawings with the mouse. So there's no going around it. But it's useable as it is and you can edit the sensitivity settings too.

https://github.com/ergilion-tech/Fusion-Gadgets/tree/main/SpaceMouseDrawingMode

I just wonder. If it took me who knows absolutely bugger all about coding and Claude Code all of 3 hours to create this - how hard can it be for mighty Autodesk in the course of many years?
