Hi Juan,

It seems your students' browser was unable to create the 3D canvas for some reason. If they continue to have problems accessing FormIt Web, it's worth having them go to https://get.webgl.org/ and make sure they can see the spinning cube. If not, that website provides links to troubleshoot getting WebGL working in the browser, which is required for the FormIt web app to run correctly.

We've also fixed the issue where, when the browser is unable to create the 3D canvas as in this case, the customer is redirected to the invalid page you have in your screenshot. When we release the next major version of FormIt, this case will result in a redirect to the correct page instead.

Hope this helps. Thanks again for letting us know!

Hi

Today I asked my students to enter the formit Web, and several reported the same problem when entering.

According to them, they have the latest version of their browser and have tried different ones (Chrome, Opera, Edge)

Some clue?

Thanks in advance

Hi Juan,

<STRIKE>Sometimes this can happen if you try to refresh the page rather than loading a new FormIt session cleanly.</STRIKE>

<STRIKE>Can you confirm if this still happens for the students if they delete the URL in the address bar and try going to https://app.formit.autodesk.com/ directly?</STRIKE>

<STRIKE>Thanks!</STRIKE>

I spoke too soon Juan,

We do see an issue here and are looking into it.

Thanks for letting us know!

Hi again Juan,

We'd like to better understand the browsers your students used to access FormIt Web:

You mentioned Chrome, Opera, and Edge.

Chrome should definitely work. Can you tell us what version of Chrome was used to access FormIt?

Opera is not supported, so getting to this "Supported Browsers" page is probably expected (although that page is broken, as you saw, and we are working on fixing that)

New versions of Edge are supported. Edge is now built on Chromium and is therefore compatible with FormIt.

You can verify if the version of Edge is Chromium simply by its icon. If its icon looks like this, it's Chromium: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge

Older versions of Edge, with the simple blue "E" icon, are not built on Chromium and not compatible with FormIt.

If your students were trying to use the new version of Edge, and still being redirected to the "Supported Browsers" page, let us know what version of Edge they're using.

Thanks!
