Problem importing Sketchup model to Revit with materials

I'm unable to import my sketchup model in Revit with textures even if I use Formit.

I checked for solutions everywhere but it doesn't work.

First I save my sketchup on my desktop, then I go to FormIt and save it as group and also change his category. And when I uploaded it in Revit, the model is here but it hasn't any colors or materials.

And I do have the latest version of FormIt. Is the problem happened to anyone ?

One thing to try - make sure the FormIt add-in for Revit is up to date. You need version 1.9.4 installed on Revit 2018 to see materials import to Revit. You can check in your add / remove programs dialog. Then get the latest from FormIt’s website download tab - scroll to the bottom and download the 2018 add-in.

I just retried it with another 3D model and the model is okay but the color won't follow, and everything is up-to-date. It 's okay on Form It but when I import it the colors/material are not here. What can I do ?

Do you have the visual style on the view set to Realistic or Consistent Colors? It may be that the materials are there, but you are not seeing them in a

Hidden Line view. If that is not it, please feel free to direct message me and share the file with me so I can take a look.

Hi Margaux,

You can also try completely uninstalling the FormIt Add-in, then download the latest from our website, and reinstall the add-in:

https://formit.autodesk.com/page/download (scroll to bottom)

Sometimes an uninstall and reinstall of the add-in can clear this problem up.

I have got the same problem:

when I try to convert SKP to FormIt through the FormIt converter in Revit, it gives me this error: "A problem occurred during conversation. please check the log file in the results folder for more details".

I am using Revit 2018 with 1.9.4.0 plug in.

I re-installed the plug-in, but it did not help.

I also used several SKP files, none of them worked.

Hi Samin,

It might be worth looking at the suggestions and screencast I contributed to this thread. SketchUp files may need to be cleaned up in FormIt, to ensure the geometry is watertight and solid before sending off to Revit.

Let us know if this helps. If not, you can try posting the contents of the log file to help us isolate the issue.
