3D Sketch Loses Levels When Editing

After working on a 3D sketch building (converted from a basic building), sometime the floors/levels disappear once going back into edit mode. They still exist once you leave the edit mode, but this makes it a hassle to edit the massing. This only started occuring today, I've never run into this before

Does anyone know what causes this?

Hi! Very sorry for the issue here.

Do you by chance remember any particular steps that you took right before this started happening? We'd love to investigate and fix but haven't been able to reproduce locally ourselves. Any steps you can remember will help us narrow this down.

Otherwise, can you try going back to a previous version via Proposal history? Curious if you can get to a state before this started happening, to work around it at least. Then maybe if you run into it again, you can let us know what action was taken so we can fix it.

I haven't tried anything related to proposal history, but it happens even when I make a fresh proposal in the site.

The way I see that it can be replicated is to make at least one edit to the 3D sketch and exit the edit mode. Then start a 2nd edit, make whatever change, exit out of edit mode, and undo. The undo then takes you back to the 1st edited mass, and once you go to edit that again, all floors disappear from edit mode.

You can click add floors, but that brings in a default 10' floor to floor that you have to edit every time to get back to the original spacing

Thanks, undo outside of edit mode replicates the issue for us.

The suggestion about proposal history is just if you want to try and recover the 3D Sketch building rather than losing all your levels with a subsequent edit.

This issue should be fixed for new 3D Sketch buildings going forward. ✔️

For existing 3D Sketch buildings that were created in the last ~24 hours (the period following the introduction of this bug), we're working on restoring the level data so those buildings get back to working properly. If you can hold off editing existing 3D Sketch elements facing this issue, hopefully our upcoming fix will make it so you can continue editing without any issues.

If you don't want to wait, you can reapply levels to the 3D Sketch building from the right panel. 3D Sketch will do its best to apply the known floor plans to the new levels, but the level heights will be defaults, and you may lose functions applied to floors.

I'll update here when the additional fix is available.

Would you mind refreshing Forma and trying to edit that building again? You should find the floor data is no longer disappearing when 3D Sketch launches.
