Thanks for asking, if you are primarily interested in running analyses with imported datasets that is possible (e.g. you have the data) This replaces the default wind rose from Global Wind Atlas and will be used across your site for all wind and microclimate analyses.

It is not possible to import rainfall, and humidity sadly. While temperature is something you can control based on the UTCI / microclimate analysis panel.

You can adjust the dry bulb temperature in the microclimate analysis settings. In the right-hand panel, you'll find date, time, and dry bulb temperature controls that you can configure for your UTCI computation.

The system uses statistical weather data, but you can override the temperature values through these live parameter adjustments.

Inside the "Weather data" section at the bottom of the right hand side of the wind analysis page, it is possible to upload wind data for the wind rose. This data should be in EPW format, and will be used to derive wind direction probabilities and wind speed graphs replacing the wind rose from Global Wind Atlas. After uploading, the resulting wind rose will be used across the site in all wind and microclimate analyses.

Hi guys!!!

I’m exploring a question related to microclimate analysis in Autodesk Forma. In São Paulo (Brazil), we have several local meteorological stations that publish real-time climate data for very specific regions of the city, ( temperature, humidity, wind, rainfall...) . These datasets are usually much more accurate than broad regional climate databases.

Is there any way to integrate this type of real-time or near-real-time microclimate data into Autodesk Forma?
