In the past it wasn’t allowed to use a standard license on a virtual machine, because there is a possibility, that such a license can run simultaneously on more physical machines. If you use a concurrent license server, then this is probably not a problem. But you need to grant communication to this license server. You find default ports in articles about firewalls. If your facility is using customized ports you must ask them.
There are existing also other mechanisms to provide a single unique id on virtual machines to prevent a multiple use. Flexera license manager manual describes such methods.
Hint: Parallels in the past

Hi!

I am trying to use Flexsim through Parallels Desktop on a Mac. I was able to download, install and use the Express License. My organization has the educational licenses and we access them through a server. But it doesn't work with the Parallels Desktop app. Do you know if I need special configuration to make it work?
