Hi everyone,

I’m building a model in FlexSim (v25.1) for an automotive service process. I’ve set up my model so that customer vehicles arrive, get processed, and then move through various service stations before leaving as serviced vehicles.

Here’s my challenge:

After the "Receive Customer Vehicle Processor," I need a technician (operator) to transport the vehicle (flow item) to the next queue.

From that point on, the technician should stay with that same vehicle as it goes through the different service processes (Service Vehicle stations, Combiners, etc.), until it exits at the "Serviced Customer Vehicle" sink.

The idea is that in real life, the technician travels with the vehicle and performs all the required steps.

Right now, my technicians don’t stay with the same vehicle. Instead, they are reassigned to different tasks after transporting the vehicle.

My question:
What’s the best way to set this up in FlexSim and can I achieve this without implementing ProcessFlow logic?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much for that guidance. Please can I ask for assistance with this simple example: I am struggling to see why the operator successfully stays with the same flow item from Queue1 to Processor1 and then takes the item to Queue2, but stops there. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure, why in a first queue it is not possible to transport an item by an operator. The processor input port is not available. In follwing objects a rising priority let operators stay at their stations.
