Based on your initial question it sounds like those 5s are a setup time (process time only starts afterwards). So you can simply set those 5s as setup time in the processor and not require an operator for the actual cycle time.

Also, is there a reason why you are using two one-way paths on top of each instead of single two-way path? It currently makes the Task Executer travel to the opposite end of the path before moving to the processor.

arquivohelp123-fm.fsm

[ FlexSim 21.0.10 ]

Hello!

I have a model where there is a source, a processor and an agv to transport the product from one processor to the other and then go to the output. As per the image below.

I would like to do this whenever my product arrives at processor 32 or 37, my operator 1 goes to that processor and spends 5 seconds doing an activity. After that, the processor performs its cycle time in the equipment and the agv takes the product to the exit. I'm not getting the part of the operator to work, can someone help me with this?

GIF123.gif

It's hard to know how to help without looking at your model. To receive a more accurate solution, please post your model or a sample model that demonstrates your question.

Proprietary models can be posted as a private question visible only to FlexSim U.S. support staff. You can also contact your local FlexSim distributor for phone or email help.

Hello, as said before by Natalie can you send me your model in here that demosntrates what you currently have? That would help finding the solution.

Usually, for an operator to work at a station, you need to connect them to your processor through a center port, then check the box "Use Operator" in the processor properties.

If you need an specific kind of behavior that is not provided through this interface, consider creating a ProcessFlow for this task.

Hi @kauan pedroso,

I took a look at your model and there's two issues. The first is that your dispatcher is connected to the middle processors. By disconnecting the middle processors your Task Executer isn't the one doing the processing and your operator does it instead.

The second issue is your middle processors in their Output tab for the transport they were using the centerport default connection. You want to instead sample your dispatcher so that the Task Executer is bringing the boxes to the final processor.

Does that answer your question?

Partly solved my problem, the search part with dispatcher is ok. But I wanted my operator to spend 5 seconds and go to the next processor and now he waits for the processor time and then spends 5 seconds and goes to the next one. How can I do it in reverse so that it spends 5 seconds and goes to the next processor ?

The processor object does not suppport this by default.
Hello, based off of your initial comments and the other discussions here on the forum I'd like to reinterate what I've answered previously and strongly recommend the creation of a ProcessFlow, this way you can configure the machine sequence and delay time for each operator with details. The processor doesn't support all the time inputs you requested.
