Thanks for your advice, as I showed in Figure 2, when I used the FBX files which has 3 texture layers , the model in Flexsim just showed part texture of my FBX files.

[ FlexSim 22.1.4 ]

model and layers.zipobj.zipagv模型和贴图.zipHi !

I imported a new model appearance and layers into the task executor, using the following files. My 3d model in .obj format can be imported successfully, but my layers(png) cannot be imported successfully. The effect is as shown in Figure 1.

Then I tried to import it using .fbx format to get an effect in Figure 2.

The plane is dark, warning light is also dim

But my purpose is: I hope to import more than one layer, and finally achieve the effect of Figure 3. The surface of the object should has a metallic luster and the small lamp will glow by itself when there is no light source.

Is there any way to import multiple layers or achieve the effect I want? I really need help.

It is a question about exchange 3D export formats. Some are able to store material data others aren’t. You can also look for texture data to which composes textures to surfaces from an added 2D picture file.
As far as I am remembering this you can store material data in STL. Or you can add textures to FBX files. But if you want to edit textures then you need another program to do so.

1. In your Figure 2, it shows all the textures as in your Figure 3. What do you mean by "just showed part texture of my FBX files"? What do you think is missing?

2. What do you mean by "import multiple layers"? What "layers" are you talking about? FlexSim only imports material properties from the 3D shape file. If your other software package has material properties specific to its own custom renderer that aren't exported into the 3D shape file, then FlexSim can't access those properties.

3. The exact colors of each surface are different because the lighting conditions are different between the two software packages rendering the shape. Adjust FlexSim's lights using the View Style panel on the right or using Light objects from the Library.

4. FlexSim does not import lights from FBX files. If you want the small lamp to glow, you need to add a Point Light object from the Library to your object and then configure it with the settings that you want.
